It’s probably already clear from the color theme of my blog that I love black, white and red as a color combination, so it’s no surprise I love the color scheme Shakella and Jazz chose for their Vegas wedding! Photographed by Kristen Weaver Photography and held at The Grove at Silk Purse Ranch, this chic wedding is full of that awesome Vegas-y goodness we all love…plus an emotional groom and an adorable ring bearer!
Shakella, the bride, told me that she and Jazz chose Las Vegas as their destination wedding spot because it is their favorite place to be. After taking their first vacation together there, they were hooked. Following an engagement and a scouting trip to Las Vegas from Los Angeles, they decided that The Grove, a dedicated wedding ceremony and reception venue off Strip, was best suited for their nuptials.
A few moments of this wedding ceremony stand out to me: Jazz getting all emotional, the heart warming family sand ceremony and the inclusion of Pastor Anthony Spottsville who married the couple. The Pastor has known Jazz all of his life, and was married to Jazz’s mother before she passed away a number of years previously. Such touching moments!
Post-dinner, dancing and cake at the reception the bride and groom made their getaway back to their suite at Cosmopolitan, where they enjoyed a private moment before rejoining close friends waiting downstairs. They spent the evening celebrating with cocktails at the chic Vesper Bar and a late night meal at The Henry. Always a lovely way to end a Vegas wedding!
