Every Monday this year we are highlighting a unique Vegas wedding venue in the Ultimate Vegas Wedding Guide! Today it’s the elegant, vintage venues of The Smith Center near downtown Las Vegas.
Just the Deets
The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is one of Las Vegas’s most unique remarkable venues, and is mainly a world class theatre and concert venue that just happens to host weddings from time to time. The Smith Center boasts a number of features including packages with rentals included, well-appointed halls with incredible architectural details in limestone, bronze and wood. The art-deco style architecture, inspired by the design of the nearby Hoover Dam, was designed to evoke a sense of the 1920s & 1930s.
Indoor and outdoor spaces are available, and as one might expect for a theatre venue, there are grand stages and awesome acoustics. The venue offers configurations that can accommodate wedding parties as intimate as seven guests, all the way up to grand affairs for 1,200. You can view floorplans and capacity details here.
Venue fees for exclusive use of the Reynolds Hall, Grand Lobby, Mezzanine and Upper Lobby: $6,500. The Courtyard, Symphony Park and Troesh Studio Theater are $4,500.
What’s Special?
Each venue is incredibly unique and range from the intimate to the grand, including a jazz club complete with a second balcony level, a grand lobby with marble flooring and steel accents as well as two outdoor locations which are stunning. The sound and views were carefully considered when designing each of the spaces. Some rooms even have windows or balconies with views looking at downtown Las Vegas or Symphony Park, others have elaborate staging and lighting set-ups sure to make your grand wedding a very memorable affair.
Venues include:
- Reynolds Hall:Â Reynolds Hall which has 2,056 seats is the largest of the venues, and the stage, where events are held, can hold 500 (seated) or 580 (standing)
- The Grand Lobby: The lobby attached to Reynolds Hall is a grand open space with two floors. The first floor features a grand stairway. This beautiful awe inspiring space holds 500 (standing) 280 (seated)

- Cabaret Jazz: A 3,700 square foot dual floored room with screen and stage built to hold live music events, 244 (seated) or 272 (standing) The second level offers a birds eye view of the lower floor and would make for fantastic photo opportunities
- Courtyard (outdoors): 6,200 square feet of outdoor space connects Reynolds Hall and the Boman Pavilion and offers a wind protected space surrounded by architecture and foliage. 280 (seated) or 620 (standing)
- Mezzanine Lounge: 1,500 square feet can host up to 50 (seated) or 100 standing people on the second floor of the Grand Lobby
- Founders Room: This small, uniquely decorated room with burgundy and wood details on the second floor of the Grand Lobby overlooks Symphony Park and Boman Pavilion. It’s great for smaller parties, but can host up to 60 seated guests
- Upper Lobby: On the balcony level of Reynolds Hall is the Upper Lobby, which is similar to the Grand Lobby in design, has a great view of downtown Las Vegas, and an open air balcony overlooking Symphony Park. The space can host 400 (standing) 270 (seated). Attached to the Upper Lobby are two smaller venues, Carillon Salon and West Lounge, able to host 7 or 10 people respectively.
- Symphony Park (outdoors): A two-acre park connected to The Smith Center is a palm tree ringed green space perfect for outdoor receptions or ceremonies of up to 1,200 people
