Every Monday this year we are highlighting a unique Vegas wedding venue in the Ultimate Vegas Wedding Guide! Cosmopolitan is on deck today, a hotel which does not have its own wedding chapel but still offers some fun, unconventional options for weddings.

Just the Deets
Cosmopolitan is a trendy luxury hotel right on the Strip that opened in 2010, definitely popular with a younger crowd. Unlike most of their Strip hotel friends, they are lacking a true stand alone wedding chapel and are not traditionally known in Las Vegas as a hot destination for weddings.
However, they have experimented with a limited time only Pop-Up Wedding Chapel the last few winters (the chapel did not open for the 2014 season.) More recently they have begun to recognize how popular their luxury suites are with couples seeking a more modern Vegas wedding reception, and have been offering packages angled to those weddings and more unconventional, modern events.
Other perks of using Cosmopolitan for your wedding include a spectacular spot for unique, artsy wedding portraits: lots of art and sculptures (including the Chandelier Bar) around this architectural hotel (even in the parking garage!) make for some great photo ops. There is also a Rent the Runway location in the shops, making it a great spot to rent a haute couture wedding gown for a great price.
Their Wraparound Terrace Suites are immensely popular with smaller wedding parties looking for a modern cocktail reception with amazing (and rare) balconies with views of the nearby Bellagio fountains and the lights of the Strip. It is possible to provide your own photographer if you waive the fees and sign a release.
Other venues for ceremonies and receptions include the purple palette’d Point Loma ballroom overlooking the Strip and Bellagio fountains, with room for 80 guests. The 36th floor dedicate Wedding Suite is specifically set up for chic in-suite ceremonies and cocktail receptions of up to 40 guests (25 seated*) including bridal space and a patio. The Terrace (8 guests*), Wraparound Terrace (12 guests*) and West End Penthouse Suites (35 guests*) are also available for small ceremonies and receptions. *Please note: capacities are those recommended by CosmopolitanÂ
A new venue for 2014 is The Chelsea, a concert space and event venue that might be well suited to the right couple for larger weddings. Design inspiration for this venue from the 1930s and is abandoned glass factory turned working theater at this industrial-style venue.
Pricing
Wedding packages range in cost from $1200-9040 and up and include a variety of services including spa visits, food, live music and more. For receptions, there are specific ballroom and in-suite catering menus. Buffet and plated meals starts $105 per person, from $35 per person for more casual cocktail-style receptions serving hors d’ouevres. Bar packages start at $29 per person. There are also 13 restaurants on site plus a buffet for more casual receptions. Groups over 13 guests must go through group dining for reservations.
They can also provide all other associated wedding needs such as flowers, cake, officiants, music, photography and more.
