Dry Lake Bed Elopement | Little Vegas Wedding

Brienne or Josh did not initially think they’d have a Las Vegas desert elopement, but Covid-19 had other plans. They shifted gears from a much larger event out of concern for health of their guests, and instead decided to just elope.

Along with a few of their closest friends and loved ones they headed to the Nevada desert for a safe outdoors wedding, planning the details in about two months. Weighing their options, from classic wedding chapels to hotels, Bri and Josh’s photographer helped them settle on a ceremony south of Las Vegas at the scenic dry lake beds near Jean on BLM land.

This couple exchanged handwritten vows in front of a small gathering of grandparents, friends and other nearests and dearests. After their vows were exchanged, they were presented with locks and keys which they joined together forever before tossing the keys into the desert in a symbolic gesture.

After watching the sunset and toasting their big day with beers, the newlyweds headed out for a few physically distanced photos near the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.
